What's the story behind your derby name?
I wanted my real name to be apart of my derby name and when I thought of hitting the track and taking out the opposing players all I could think was that I wanted to go out there and BUSTem up.

What's the story behind your derby number?
I am 150cm tall off skates. Simple as that. Don't let my short stature fool you though I may be short but I am mighty.

When did you join Renegade Derby Dames?
Summer 2012

Had you ever played roller derby before joining RDD?
I had never played roller derby before my fresh meat back in 2012. A few years previous though I was given free tickets to see a game and I was fascinated with it. I was worried though that injuries from other sports would keep me from playing so I put it the thought out of my head - until the opportunity popped up again and I said "what the heck - go for it".

What (if any) skating experience did you have before joining RDD?
I played Ringette until I was 18 yrs old and recently went back to playing again about eight years ago. So ice skating is really the only background I have. As a teenager I would spend my Sunday's at the local roller rink but I never imagined I would be skating derby style as an adult.

Why did you join?
Why wouldn't I join? A physical sport where I am encouraged to do all the things that are illegal in Ringette? You mean I actually get to shoulder check and hip check and purposely knock someone down?
I'm all in!

What's the best thing about being a derby girl?
Getting to share the experience with my sister Pip Tatters from DRRD and PRD. We started playing derby around the same time. I see her more now off and on the track then we used before derby. Of course I love the ladies in my own league too....but that's kind of the point of derby....no matter where you find yourself, if there is a local league around you have a place where you are accepted.

What do you do in your non-derby life?
I am a coach for my first sporting love - Ringette and am heavily involved on the BoD and committees there. Unfortunately my motorcycle has spent too much time in the garage since joining derby but I still take her out as often as I can.

What is your most memorable derby moment?
I was a lone blocker on the track with Flyin' O'Brien and we put into motion a play we had been working on in practices. When that jammer came around turn one, without a word or hesitation we used each other's bodies to hit her so hard the poor girl took air!

What is your derby goal/dream?
Honestly, just to get better at the sport and to have fun with it. I'd also like to help and assist new players to fall in love with the sport and excel at it.

Who is your favourite skater/derby idol?
Will I'd be remiss if I didn't choose Monster Muffin and of course Pip Tatters. The two derby girls that I love and adore!
