Fall Fresh Meat Training Begins September 11th

We are pleased to announce the start date of our next session is September 11th for skaters 19 years of age and up.  The Training Program costs $100 plus $20 for Apprentice Skater Insurance through the Canadian Women’s Roller Derby Association.  For skaters who have participated in Fresh Meat Training previously (ours or elsewhere), please talk to us about a discount on your training fees.

When does the training program take place?

Training takes place from 12-2pm on 10 Sundays: Sept 11, 18, 25; Oct 16, 23, 30; and Nov 6, 13, 20, 27.  (There are no sessions on Oct 2- due to the Ontario Rodeo taking place in our arena, or on Oct 9- due to Thanksgiving.)

Where does the training program take place?

Allison Memorial Arena at 49 Nelson Street West (between Church & Paris) in downtown Alliston.

How can I find out what it’s like before I sign up?

We’re holding two Open House Practice Sessions: a Fresh Meat Session on Sunday, August 14, 12-2pm and a League Practice on Tuesday, August 16, 7-9pm.  You can watch the practice session, get more information (including a training outline and info package), try on and buy gear, and sign up in advance.

How do I sign up?

You can sign up at an Open House Practice, you can sign up during our Foxx Lounge Fundraiser in Barrie (Fri Aug 26, 9pm-2am), or you can show up early for the first day of training (at 11:30 on Sun Sept 11) and sign up then.

Anyone who signs up during an Open House Practice is automatically entered to win a refund of their training fees!!!
