We will be holding Registration and Q&A for our Fresh Meat Training Program in June!

Saturday, June 11th, come to the Holiday Inn Hotel & Conference Centre in Barrie, just off the 400 at Essa Road from 11am to 3pm and meet the Dames, see some roller derby videos and get answers to all your Fresh Meat and Derby questions.  Just look for the signs to the meeting room or ask the derby girls in the lobby to show you the way!  (RSVP on Facebook!)

Tuesday, June 14th, come to the Alliston Memorial Arena at 49 Nelson Street West in downtown Alliston from 7:30-9pm to meet the Dames, see a league practice in action, and get answers to all your Fresh Meat and Derby questions.  (RSVP on Facebook!)

The Fresh Meat Training Program is for new skaters who would like to learn to play roller derby, and takes place at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre in Alliston.  The program runs 10 consecutive Sundays, June 26th through August 28th, from 11am to 1pm, and is designed to help skaters of all skill levels learn to skate safely in order to play the sport of Roller Derby under the rules outlined by the Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Association.  Skaters will be provided with the tools and knowledge they need in order to pass the WFTDA Minimum Skating Skills Requirement and the Written Rules Test at the end of the program, which will take place during the week of September 11th.  The program will cost $100 for 10 weeks, plus $20 for 3 months of apprentice skater insurance coverage (through CWRDA: Canadian Women's Roller Derby Association).  Please see our Skate With Us page for more info.  (RSVP on Facebook!)

Anyone who pre-registers on the 11th or the 14th will be entered to win a refund of their Fresh Meat Training!!  Only 40 spots available, so register early!  Early registration also ensures that you have your insurance cards by the first session.
