RDD is offering a Fresh Meat Training Program for new skaters who would like to learn to play roller derby at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre in Alliston.

The program runs 10 consecutive Sundays, June 26th through August 28th, from 11am to 1pm, and is designed to help skaters of all skill levels learn to skate safely in order to play the sport of Roller Derby under the rules outlined by the Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Association.  Skaters will be provided with the tools and knowledge they need in order to pass the WFTDA Minimum Skating Skills Requirement and the Written Rules Test at the end of the program, which will take place during the week of September 11th.  The program will cost $100 for 10 weeks, plus $20 for 3 months of apprentice skater insurance coverage (through CWRDA: Canadian Women's Roller Derby Association).
