What’s the story behind your derby name/derby number? Just another in a long line of attempts to get people to pronounce Vone correctly. 

When did you join Roller Derby/Renegade Derby Dames? Started skating in 2018 since my daughter skated with the Juniors and Fresh Meat was at the same time. Figured I might as well learn to skate instead of just sitting around. And I’m so glad I did. 

What’s the best thing about roller derby? The people are awesome - supportive and there to challenge you. Also hitting people is fun. 

Why do you keep playing? Because the bruises keep healing.

What is your derby goal/dream? To get stronger and more agile - so I can do all the derby things. And maybe a bruise that looks like a famous person.

Favourite derby moment? MVP blocker at the 2019 Hoser Closer. I was so surprised, and it made all the bruises worth it.
