Transfer Skaters

Skaters who have played games with, or passed their WFTDA Minimum Skating Skills Requirement (or equivalent), at another league are welcome to transfer to RDD as regular members, but they may be required to pass a short safety test and/or our written WFTDA rules test, and they will need to provide a transfer letter from their previous league.

• Regular members will be expected to pay standard monthly dues ($60), as well as maintain insurance coverage.   Roller derby insurance can be purchased from Roller Derby Canada Services (RDC).  Click for details.

• Transfer skaters will be given the opportunity to try out for our Charter Team as soon as possible, if desired.

• Skaters who have some skating experience with another league, but have not yet played a game or passed their WFTDA MSRs are welcome to transfer into RDD's Roller Skating 101 Program.   Participants will be expected to pay the program fees, and maintain at least valid apprentice insurance coverage during their training.

• Referees who have experience officiating and wish to transfer to RDD as Officials can find additional information on our Referee page.  Referees are considered volunteers and do not pay dues, but must maintain skater insurance.
